What are Backlinks

Backlinks are links on other websites that point to your site. They help you gain traffic and activity, let people know about your site but most importantly, help with your Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and boost your Website’s Search Engine Rankings. The more quality backlinks you have, the great boost in your rankings you will receive thus leading to greater traffic and activity as a result. Webmasters and SEO experts look to gain quality backlinks for their websites as their value are vitally important.

Backlinks from most popular blogs are worth gold

Traffic is the lifeline of every internet marketer in the world, and it’s one of the reasons that they made money with their products or services. One of the reasons that we get traffic to our website or blog is backlinks. It is so important to have as many backlinks as possible, especially on high page rank (PR), Alexa, and high traffic sites or blogs as well. If we successfully link our blogs or websites to high and relevant sources, it is worth more than a bar of gold to get potential leads and customers of your products or services. There are several things that we need to get backlinks to our website, but sometimes it is too difficult to get quality links from relevant sites and blogs. So how do we know the quality of the website or blog we like to build links?

Smart Ways to Earn or Build Backlinks to Your Website

1. Relevant content –  this is one important key that we need to attract our audience. For example, if our blog is all about dogs, our content should always match your blog’s niche or interest. It means that all of our blog posts should be related to dogs. This is where your relevant readers came in, and they’re going to share it when the topics of your blog are very interesting.

What are Backlinks

2. Relevant sources of traffic – another important key for your website or blog to build backlinks is to get sources that are relevant to your blog’s niche. Going back to the previous example of a dog blog, we should say that we build backlinks to other blogs and websites that are related to dogs, pets, or animals. A way to build them is through their forums, blog posts and even ask them for putting a backlink to their site. The more you build your links in a relevant source that matches your blog’s niche, the more you receive traffic and potentially the gold coins will fall slowly but surely.

3. Relationships with the webmasters – we are building links through quality and relevant websites or blogs, right? So it means that we expect that the webmasters are of high quality as well. It’s worth gold when your backlink is live on any high-quality website or blog, but you need to build a good relationship with the webmaster. Relationships come first before you get any good reward or benefit from someone who gains trust in you. Gold coins will fall later after your relationship with other bloggers and webmasters are in a good move.

Backlink variation

Backlinks are either DoFollow or NoFollow, with the Dofollow ones providing the greatest boost to your rankings and contributing most to your SEO. Backlinks can come in many different forms, including:

    > Forum Profile Links

    > Forum Signature Links  (often Nofollow)

    > Link Directories

    > Article Directories

    > Blog Comments

    > Links on Websites

DoFollow backlinks do provide greater value, far greater value, than NoFollow links. So does this make forum signature links useless? No! The key to good SEO is to gain quality DoFollow backlinks along with NoFollow backlinks. Search engines often like sites to have some NoFollow backlinks as well as DoFollow.

As well as having a balance of DoFollow and NoFollow, you want backlinks from a list of different modalities. It isn’t a good idea to have all of your backlinks coming from forums or all of your backlinks coming from link directories. You want to mix it up so you have backlinks coming from many different sources. This will provide a far greater boost to rankings than if they all come from one source.

Another quick point to consider is relevant backlinks. Search engines will much more often give higher precedence to backlinks that are relevant to your website over completely unrelated backlinks. This is something to consider.
